Syndromic Multiplex Panels: a new way to approach infectious-disease diagnosis

Infectious diseases have predominated for years, but today their diagnosis has become challenging: very different pathogens produce nearly identical clinical syndromes. Syndromic multiplex panels address this by testing one specimen against many likely pathogens simultaneously, supporting accurate aetiological diagnosis instead of empirical guessing.

Technology that enhances specificity and sensitivity Unlike conventional techniques that proceed pathogen-by-pathogen, multiplex testing identifies the target organism in the clinical setting where several pathogens cause similar signs and syndromes.
